Summer Soirée

The South Fork Music Association will be putting on a gathering to gear up for the Rhythms festival later in August. This mini fest takes the place of the Summer Soulstice and will kick off during South Fork’s July 4 weekend festivities. Join us July 2 at the Rhythms on the Rio grounds (28261 W. State Hwy 160) from 4-8 pm for beer tasting and live music! All the way from Austin, the Shawn Nelson Band will throw down some notes for your listening pleasure. This will accompany our annual singer/songwriter competition.

Anyone who is interested in entering the singer/songwriter competition needs to submit an application no later than June 12 to Contestants will need to perform 2 original songs, which will be voted upon by audience members. The top 3 contestants will then have a sing off of 1 more performance for another round of voting to determine the winner. A cash prize of $200 will be awarded to the winning talent! Price is $25 which includes the beer tasting, wine tasting courtesy of Colorado Sellers, concert by Shawn Nelson & the singer/songwriter competition. For those who will not be part of the beer or wine tasting, it is a $5 admission for the concert; kids 15 and under are free. We will be pouring beer from Three Barrel, Riff Raff, San Luis Valley Brewing and Coors; there will be food vendors on site as well. The Soirée is just part of the fun for July 4th weekend in South Fork—we hope to see you there!
