GATES OPEN

Thursday, July 31:  11:00 AM  – 6:00 PM.   (MUST HAVE EARLY ENTRY ADD-ON TICKET!)

Friday, August 1: 9:00 AM, remaining open throughout the festival.

NOTE: 3-Day Festival Passes DO NOT INCLUDE CAMPING

At Rhythms on the Rio, we have always been proud to offer camping included in all festival passes.  That is a tradition we have stuck with for 17 years.  But recent changes to the Colorado State and County requirements for lodging tax (yes, your tent for the weekend is considered lodging!) have forced us to adapt our ticketing policies in 2025.

  • Changes to lodging tax regulations are forcing us to re-organize the way we offer camping passes.
  • Camping passes will be sold separately and are required for all individuals (13+) camping at the festival.
  • Youth (13 -17) camping passes will be offered at a reduced rate (12 and under are FREE).
  • Not camping at the festival? No camping pass needed!

We are offering a first-time Group Camp option and a designated Family Camp.

FAMILY CAMPING PASSES:

  • Add this to your order to camp in the Family Camping Area.
  • Quiet hours daily will be from stop of music on the mainstage to 7am the next morning.
  • There is no additional charge for family camping,
  • Festival pass and general camping pass are also required for all adults and youth.
  • Car/tent camping only.
  • Limited amount available!

GROUP CAMPING

  • Very Limited Opportunity!
  • Secure a guaranteed camping spot with your crew (8-10 pp).
  • 50’x50 space for your group site
  • Three (3) Weekend Campground Parking Passes for either: One (1) Large Camper (RV, Gooseneck Camper, bumper pull) and Two (2) cars, or Three (3) cars.
  • Groups purchasing multiple Group Campsites, we will be reaching out to you to ensure you are placed side by side.
  • Festival pass and general camping pass are also required for all adults and youth.

RV/Trailer Camper Info

RV/Trailer passes are in limited supply.

You must also purchase a festival pass AND a camping pass for each person attending the festival.

Only one RV/Trailer pass is required for each vehicle meeting the requirements.

Vehicles with ANYTHING in tow, and ALL vehicles over 20′ will require an additional camping pass.

  • If you are towing ANYTHING you need at least a Tier 1 ticket, but if it is under 20′ you can still camp in General (Cottonwood) Camping
  • These are in addition to the general camping pass that ALL camping attendees (13+) must purchase.
  • ALL bumper-pull campers will need to disconnect from their tow vehicle.
  • All sites are Primitive Camping.  No water, no electricity.
  • ALL CAMPERS INCLUDED IN AN RV CAMPING PASS MUST ARRIVE TOGETHER IN THE SAME VEHICLE AT THE SAME TIME – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please be prepared to purchase the appropriate camping pass tier based on your vehicle configuration.

Tier 1: 20′ – 30′ Vehicles or vehicles with ANYTHING in tow (up to 30′)

If you are towing a camper and the combined camper/vehicle length is less than 20′, you may camp in the general campground (but you MUST purchase this ticket).

Tier 2: 30′ – 40′ Vehicles/RVs/bumper-pull campers

40’ maximum total length for towed camper or RV. The tow vehicle and camper must disconnect and park side to side. No companion vehicles.

Tier 3: 40′ – 50′ Vehicles/RVs/bumper-pull campers

50’ maximum length for a towed camper or any RV. Tow vehicles and large bumper pull or goosenecks will have to be disconnected and parked side by side. No companion vehicles.

CAR CAMPING

You will be able to camp with your car.

There will be designated car camping areas for vehicles under 20’ and tents. Because of the limitations of the terrain, we will need camping sites to be contained within a 20×20 space. WE CANNOT SAVE SPACES FOR YOUR FRIENDS WHO ARE SHOWING UP AT A LATER TIME.  Sorry, but we will be filling spaces based on the time of arrival.

WALK-IN CAMPING

There will be camping available in the wooded areas on the festival grounds. You will be able to unload close to the walk-in area, and then park your car nearby where you will have access to it all weekend.

(Camping in the trees is a risk and that risk is accepted by the attendee. South Fork Music Association or the property owner will not be held responsible for damages while camping in the trees.)

🚗 PARKING

Parking for vehicles not wanting to camp is included in the festival pass in a designated area.

The River

The River at Rhythms on the Rio

The mighty Rio Grande River – the namesake of Rhythms on the Rio – is easily accessible from the campsite and festival grounds.

The town of Del Norte has revitalized the riverfront area with a water park and Riverwalk.  This area offers plenty of safe and easily accessed entry points for the Rio Grande.  There is even a play wave, designed for surfers of all sizes.

For tubers and floaters, a short walk to the end of the Riverwalk offers a terrific opportunity for a relaxing float to the other end of the park, right across the street from the festival grounds.  More information

NOTE: There is no river access directly from the festival grounds, and tubers/floaters need to exit the river before crossing under the bridge.

PET POLICY

Pets at Rhythms on the Rio

Rhythms on the Rio Dog policy

Well-behaved pets are welcome at Rhythms on the Rio!

As in prior years, NO DOGS are allowed in the actual festival area. The parking lot is close, so you can go out to your car easily, to walk and water your dogs. There are many places nearby where you can take your dogs to the river.

Dogs are allowed in the campground only to people that have paid for a camp spot. While in the campground, dogs MUST BE ON A LEASH, or otherwise contained. Dogs that are a nuisance, perpetually barking, or running loose, will be asked to leave the campground area immediately.

No one knows your dog as you do, so we ask that you use your best judgment when bringing your dog to our festival. We love to have you, and know that it is difficult to come to festivals when you have to make special arrangements for your dogs. That said, if you have a dog that is not socially well-adjusted, or suffers from separation anxiety, it might be best if you leave it at home. Unhappy dogs make us all unhappy.

We are doing everything possible to continue to allow dogs at our festival, but be advised that one bad apple can spoil everything for everyone.

Please pick up after your dogs, as we leave these grounds just as we found them.

Alcohol POLICY

Rhythms on the Rio Alcohol policy

NO alcoholic beverages of any kind are allowed to be brought into the fenced-in festival area. (Outside alcohol is allowed in the campground – NO GLASS!)

Beer and wine are available for purchase, as well as a variety of other beverages from our vendors.

Water, juice, and soda in UNOPENED containers are allowed.

You may bring in EMPTY re-fillable containers such as your personal water bottle or Camelback-type hydration packs.

We will have drinking water available, free of charge.

Absolutely NO GLASS on Festival Grounds!

ROTR has a zero-tolerance alcohol policy. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be subject to having their wristband removed and escorted off the festival grounds immediately.

Please respect the policies in place for the enjoyment of all. It’s your festival, make it a fun and safe one!
