Welcome to the Rhythms on the Rio Family Area, lovingly hosted by Living Folklore.

We invite children and their caregivers to gather in a vibrant, interactive space filled with creativity, music, movement, storytelling, artistic expression, and playful community.

Our intention is to cultivate a space where children feel inspired to create, families feel welcomed to participate, and the festival becomes a place for shared wonder across generations.

Throughout the weekend, families can enjoy face painting, hands-on workshops, imaginative play, giant puppets, stilt walkers, parades, and opportunities to create lasting memories together.

Whether you’re making a flag, cheering on a child in the Talent Show, or walking together in the Giant Family Parade, we hope you’ll experience the joy of creating, celebrating, and connecting as a family.
